Sandeep is a father, husband and son. Six months ago he was hospitalised with a viral brain infection, spent weeks on a ventilator, and then suffered a massive stroke that left him unable to speak and paralysed on his right side. A 20-year-old kidney transplant means he also needs regular dialysis.
